In the Ashram hall there is a flame that has been kept burning night and day for the last 30 years. It is called the Akhanda Jyoti (literally, ‘the unquenchable flame’).
This symbolises the undying essence that underlies the existence of each of us. The flame reminds us that we are more than we think, more than our mind and body; as embodied beings we are expressions of underlying Consciousness or Spirit.
