Yoga is a system which has evolved over thousands of years in India. It encapsulates the findings of sages and yogis as they explored human potential, the nature of the mind and our place in existence. Most importantly, yoga evolved as a practical science which can awaken us to the realisation of the depths of our being. Over time, yoga evolved into different paths to suit different temperaments. These paths are briefly explained under ‘The Ashram Teachings’.
Only in recent times, over the last 40 years or so, have the seeds of yoga been planted outside of India and adopted by large numbers of seekers world-wide.
