Ashram Festival: Awakening the Heart

These four days promise to be a joyful gathering of hearts and minds, and a celebration of the qualities of the awakened heart. The annual Ashram festival has become a key event in the Ashram calendar since 2016, and offers a wonderful melting pot of heartfelt sharing, new experiences, wonderful vegetarian food and new ways of practising and learning.

Tutor(s): Swamiji and other senior teachers including Swami GyanDharma & Monica Douglas-Clark

The focus of the festival will be threefold:

- exploring the qualities of the awakened heart, such as generosity, acceptance, gratitude, love, devotion (bhakti), and trust

- offering insights on how to work with a heart that feels defended or wounded

- understanding the value of protecting the heart through clear discrimination and self-empowerment.

This focus will find a joyful expression through uplifting kirtan, tutor-led sessions, guided yoga classes, morning chanting, havans or fire ceremonies and guided meditations.

Alongside Swamiji and other senior ashram teachers, there will be a range of other presenters sharing their own insights and experience. These will include:

- Swami GyanDharma

- Monica Douglas Clark, aka Hridaya Purna, also fondly known as the rebel Reverend

- Rajesh David and Upasana

- Louise Thorndycraft

The festival will offer you the opportunity to immerse yourself in the energies of the heart, to let go and share with new and existing friends, and to go away with new inspiration and resources for daily life.
