Celebrating the Celtic Festivals with Yoga - the Spring Equinox

The Celtic festivals mark the turning of the seasons within the year. These four online one day workshops offer a space to connect with the festivals of Winter Solstice, Spring Equinox, Summer Solstice and Autumn Equinox.

Tutor(s): Reva

This Spring Equinox day will explore the themes of balance as the day and night are at equal length. Acknowledged as the first day of Spring we will celebrate and cultivate this new energy. There is a sense of new beginnings and fertility, symbolised by the egg and seed. The practices will support unity and balance between the feminine and masculine, right and left sides of our being.

As we celebrate these traditional festivals we are following in the footsteps of our ancestors and connecting deeply with a thread that helps us align and come into balance with nature. Through yoga and sharing we can harmonize with the natural seasonal patterns and recognize our place within the whole of creation.

Through the practices of asana, meditation, and yoga nidra the workshops will support participants in deepening their connection to each particular phase of the year; its qualities, elements and gifts. There will also be an opportunity to reflect and share on how the festival connects with your own life and how ritual can offer a gateway to letting go of what no longer serves you allowing you to welcome more of the qualities that you need at these times.

This day is part of a 4-day series, celebrating all of the 4 Celtic solstice and equinox festivals. You may also wish to consider:
All the days need to be booked individually, and if you book for the first 3, then the 4th day will be free of charge.
