Celebrating the Celtic Festivals with Yoga - the Autumn Equinox

The Celtic festivals mark the turning of the seasons within the year. These four online one day workshops offer a space to connect with the festivals of Winter Solstice, Spring Equinox, Summer Solstice and Autumn Equinox.

Tutor(s): Reva

At the Autumn Equinox, our focus will be the sharing of gratitude for the harvest within our lives and the world around us. We will explore the sense of abundance, appreciation and balance, as the day and night are at equal length. There is a feeling of preparing to move into the winter phase of rest and renewal and this day will support you in making this transition, and with awareness of what needs to be incubated through the coming winter months.

As we celebrate these traditional festivals we are following in the footsteps of our ancestors and connecting deeply with a thread that helps us align and come into balance with nature. Through yoga and sharing we can harmonize with the natural seasonal patterns and recognize our place within the whole of creation.

Through the practices of asana, meditation, and yoga nidra the workshops will support participants in deepening their connection to each particular phase of the year; its qualities, elements and gifts. There will also be an opportunity to reflect and share on how the festival connects with your own life and how ritual can offer a gateway to letting go of what no longer serves you allowing you to welcome more of the qualities that you need at these times.

The workshops will be nourishing and support you in refining your personal intention at these times and bringing insight and understanding.
Reva will provide a held space weaving together her experience as yoga teacher, psychotherapist, and shamanic practitioner.
