Bookings & Cancellation Policy
To book a course or stay at the Ashram a non-refundable deposit is required. The deposit for a course will vary depending on which course is being booked (see course program for details). For a stay the deposit will be a third of the total cost of the stay. Neither a place on a course or a stay is confirmed until a deposit has been paid and you have received a written confirmation from the Ashram.
All deposits are non-refundable and, as such, any cancellation of a course or stay booking will result in the loss of any deposit paid. Cancellations can be made via phone, email or in writing.
At their discretion the course director/operations manager may waive this policy in exceptional circumstances. Details and reasons must be given at the time of cancellation, and these will then be given due consideration.
Accommodation & Single Rooms
Most accommodation offered at Mandala Yoga Ashram is simple and shared. Numbers sharing can range from 2 to 6 depending on the room you are allocated to. All shared accommodation is same-gender.
There are a limited number of single rooms available and these are allocated to those who may have particular needs necessitating their own space. Priority is given to those who have medical issues or where personal circumstances mean a single room would be appropriate.
If a single room is required it must be requested at the time of booking, with any specific reasons stated.
Due to a limited availability, and the priorities detailed above, a single room cannot be guaranteed whilst attending a course.
Food and Meals
Mandala Yoga Ashram offers simple, healthy and balanced vegetarian food that may include eggs or dairy produce.
Please indicate if you wish to have a vegan, dairy free or gluten free diet whilst in the Ashram.
Regretfully, we are unable to cater for sensitivities/dietary choices outside of these options. If, however, you have a clear medical need/allergy that requires a different diet please do contact the Ashram Office beforehand by email to discuss– firstname.lastname@example.org – or phone 01558 685358.
Whilst there is substantial evidence to suggest that yoga and meditation can be of great benefit in calming the mind and emotions, the Ashram is not a place that treats
serious mental health issues. If you do have mental health difficulties, you must prepare to be solely responsible for your health and well-being in this regard whilst staying in the Ashram. At the time of booking you will be asked to give more details relating to any conditions or medications that you may be taking/prescribed.
The Ashram reserves the right to refuse an application to join a course or stay as a guest if it feels that time spent in the Ashram may be detrimental to you, other course participants or guests. The Ashram also reserves the right to ask a guest/participant to leave at any time if it becomes clear that their condition is being exacerbated by being here or if their behaviour is having an adverse effect on others in the Ashram.
